Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to help patients regain daily living skills
• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of the supervising OTR and document patient progress accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create meaningful, patient-centered goals
• Educate patients and families on strategies for safety, independence, and community reintegration
• Monitor and adjust modalities and activities to meet changing patient needs while maintaining high standards of care
• Contribute to a positive clinical environment by mentoring support staff and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Current COTA certification (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) — required
• Active state licensure/registration as required for New Hampshire practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented approach
• Prior experience in rehabilitation or related settings is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (Associate degree or equivalent)
• COTA certification and state registration/licensure as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic activities to improve activities of daily living and functional independence
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records and tracking patient outcomes
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and safety recommendations
• Ability to prioritize caseload, manage time effectively, and adapt to patient needs
• Collaborative communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
