Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT and radiographic exams across all body parts with professional judgment and attention to radiation protection
• Provide high-quality patient care across the lifespan, from newborns through geriatrics
• Operate and maintain CT and radiology equipment, set up automatic injectors and manage contrast protocols safely
• Assist with interventional procedures and sterile technique when required
• Manage PACS review, validate image labeling and ensure accurate image transmission for tele-radiology
• Participate in and support departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Support patient transfer, maintain accurate patient records, and follow department policies
• Serve as a resource and mentor to staff; assist with scheduling, training, and orientation

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography OR current ARDMS in one category (Abd or OB/GYN)
• CT experience and CT certification required
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start
• Ability to achieve clinical competency within 3 months of hire
• Must provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance of position
• Comfortable working across modalities and rotating shifts, and responding on-call within 20 minutes

Education

• ARRT in Radiography OR ARDMS in one modality (Abd or OB/GYN) required
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• CT scanning and diagnostic radiography techniques
• Radiation protection principles and safe contrast administration
• PACS management and tele-radiology transmission skills
• Venipuncture, sterile technique and use of automatic injectors
• Quality assurance processes and basic equipment QC
• Patient-centered communication across all age groups and cultural backgrounds
• Ability to assist in interventional procedures and support clinical workflows
• Leadership skills for lead technologist responsibilities such as scheduling and staff support
