Shift Type: 4x10 Day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 days/week (specific days vary); includes every-other-weekend coverage and on-call as needed (Day)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate endoscopy nursing care during procedures including EGD, colonoscopy and bronchoscopy
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout
- Recover patients post-procedure and manage post-procedure care and assessments
- Accurately document all care and procedures in Epic charting to maintain continuity and quality
- Handle and label specimens properly to support diagnostic accuracy
- Interpret and assist in management of dysrhythmias as they arise during procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy and rapid response to optimize patient outcomes
- Support unit needs including periodic weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (endoscopy/GI experience required as noted)
- Experience with endoscopy procedures including EGD and colonoscopy
- Proven ability to administer and monitor conscious sedation
- Epic charting experience required
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment and willing to cover every-other-weekend and on-call as needed
- Orientation: approximately 10 hours as provided by the facility
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- Degree: ADN or BSN (specific degree not stated)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in General GI and Interventional GI procedures
- Proficient in monitoring conscious sedation and post-procedure recovery
- Skilled in specimen handling and accurate labeling
- Able to recognize and assist in management of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record for documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills in interdisciplinary settings
