Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, grooming—with dignity and compassion
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes promptly to the nurse in charge
- Provide safe, attentive bedside care and help maintain a clean, comfortable environment
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to support excellent outcomes
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep everyone safe
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Active authorization to work in North Carolina
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or will be supported as needed
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and safety practices
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and hand hygiene principles
- Strong observational skills to notice changes in a resident’s condition
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
- Comfortable with basic mobility assistance and transfers
