Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs and design individualized plans
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy that supports academic success
- Develop, update, and implement IEP goals and progress monitoring
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress notes
- Provide consultations and strategies for classroom staff to support communication access
- Participate in meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered school culture
Qualifications
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) — required
- Colorado State SLP license — required
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certificate — accepted if pending at hire
- Comfort and ability to work 100% in person in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school teams
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent professional training typically required for CCC-SLP)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in school-based assessment and generating actionable IEP goals
- Proficiency with evidence-based therapy approaches for a range of speech and language needs
- Effective progress monitoring and professional documentation practices
- Collaborative mindset for working within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort engaging with students of varied ages and learning profiles
