Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) echocardiography studies
• Conduct stress echocardiography (exercise and dobutamine) and contrast/bubble studies safely and accurately
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment including Philips CX50 and Siemens ACUSON SC2000
• Document findings and enter patient data in EMRs such as Athena, Meditech and PICOM
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nursing staff and the care team to ensure excellent patient care
• Provide clear communication with patients and families and adapt technique for pediatric patients when needed
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage and respond professionally to emergent imaging needs
• Maintain equipment readiness, follow safety protocols and uphold quality assurance standards

Qualifications

• RDCS or equivalent cardiac sonography credential (ARDMS/CCI) required
• Current AHA BLS certification required (provide BLS skills sheet with submission)
• Demonstrated experience with TTE, TEE, contrast (Optison/Definity) and bubble studies
• Experience performing exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography
• Comfortable with EMR systems such as Athena, Meditech and PICOM
• Strong communicator, team player, open to feedback — left-handed sonographers encouraged to apply
• Agency submissions should include CV and credential documentation (CCI or ARDMS)

Education

• RDCS or ARDMS credential required; relevant cardiac sonography training or certificate
• BLS (AHA) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in echocardiography techniques: TTE, TEE, stress echoes and contrast studies
• Familiarity with Philips EPIC, Philips CX50, Siemens ACUSON SC2000 and Siemens Origin
• Skilled at pediatric TTE (preferred) and adaptable scanning techniques
• Comfortable working across multiple clinical environments: inpatient, outpatient, ER, cath lab
• Strong interpersonal skills, clear communicator, collaborative mindset
