Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes in condition
Support meal assistance and follow dietary instructions as needed
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Participate in care planning and follow assigned tasks to support overall resident well-being

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (required)
CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
Previous experience in geriatric or long-term care settings is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Must be able to pass background checks and any facility-required health screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
Skill in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Familiarity with basic infection control and safety practices
Good observational skills and the ability to recognize changes in condition
