Location: Brooklyn Park, Maryland

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days: Not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
Support safe resident mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations, promptly reporting changes to nursing staff
Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
Follow individualized care plans and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care
Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and their families

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
Background check and health screening clearance (TB, immunizations) as required by facility
Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic clinical care and infection control best practices
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations
Comfortable with resident mobility assistance and use of transfer equipment
Clear communication skills with residents, families and the care team
Familiarity with documentation practices and basic electronic charting
