Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced post-operative cardiac critical care for CVICU patients, ensuring safe recovery after CABG and other cardiac procedures
• Manage mechanical ventilation and perform ventilator troubleshooting to optimize respiratory support
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheter interpretation and management
• Care for patients with invasive lines: arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes and provide meticulous line maintenance
• Assist with and manage CRRT and Impella devices as clinically indicated
• Document thoroughly in the Meditech EMR and communicate clear handoffs to the multidisciplinary team
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and allied professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Teach and support patients and families during the critical recovery phase with empathy and clarity

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or comparable critical care specialty)
• Demonstrated ventilator management and invasive line (central/arterial/chest tube) competency
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and Swan-Ganz care
• CRRT and Impella experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN are nice-to-have credentials
