Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform routine patient assessments and report changes to the care team
• Assist with daily living activities while promoting patient dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records and follow facility policies
• Support a safe, clean environment through infection control and safety practices

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Maine) - local-only requirement
• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred if not already held, can be arranged)
• Comfortable with medication administration, basic wound care, and patient assessments
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Available for the local contract assignment timeframe (Feb 2, 2026 - Mar 30, 2026)

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN (Practical Nursing) program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of LPN scope of practice and long-term care routines
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Infection control, safety protocols, and basic wound care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a team
