Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day), 5x8 schedule; occasional weekend shifts may be requested, up to 5 per contract
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs and room patients efficiently and compassionately
- Record patient history, medications and allergies to ensure safe care
- Prepare exam rooms and chart patient encounters in EPIC accurately
- Collect and label specimens and support wound specimen processes
- Set up sterile procedure trays and assist with procedures such as shave and punch biopsies
- Perform dressing changes and suture removal using proper aseptic technique
- Handle office duties including authorization forms, scheduling and pharmacy refill calls
- Communicate with providers and patients via In Basket and follow-up phone calls
- Float between clinic locations as needed while maintaining consistent quality of care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant - MA-C required (MA-R and MA-P not accepted)
- Minimum 6 months experience in an adult outpatient clinic setting preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS and/or CMA certifications preferred
- Reliable transportation required and ability to float to sister clinic locations within the service area
- Willingness to complete a 40-hour orientation and adhere to facility scheduling needs
- First-time travelers are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) required
- BLS preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Aseptic technique and sterile tray setup for minor dermatology procedures
- Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, positioning and draping for exams
- Specimen collection, labeling and handling of wound specimens
- Experience assisting with biopsies including punch and shave techniques
- Suture removal and dressing changes with attention to patient comfort
- Charting and chart preparation skills in EPIC
- Scheduling, authorization forms and pharmacy refill coordination
- Customer-focused communication and follow-up phone call skills
