Location: San Rafael, CA

Candidate Pay Rate: $85 - $59.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and design individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans that make a real difference
Diagnose and implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication and safe swallowing
Monitor resident progress, adjust plans of care, and document outcomes clearly and timely
Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and therapy colleagues to coordinate person-centered care
Educate residents and caregivers on communication strategies and swallowing safety to support independence
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to a positive, outcomes-driven rehab environment

Qualifications

Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Previous SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities

Education

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy
Skilled in patient evaluation and individualized treatment planning
Proficient in clinical documentation and progress monitoring
Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
Familiarity with geriatric rehab practices and SNF workflows
