Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to assigned patients as an LVN/LPN
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to detect rhythm changes and escalate concerns
• Administer medications and treatments within LVN/LPN scope of practice
• Assess patients regularly and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond professionally and promptly to patient needs and urgent situations
• Educate patients and families on care plans, meds, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active LVN or LPN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Experience working on medical-surgical and telemetry units (specialty: LPN/LVN - Tele)
• Ability to follow facility policies and work collaboratively within the care team
• Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding and orientation for the 13-week assignment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in medical-surgical nursing and telemetry monitoring
• Proficient in patient assessment and recognizing changes in condition
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Accurate documentation and charting habits
• Comfort with fast-paced hospital environments and prioritizing patient needs
