Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care for critically ill adults
• Perform continuous patient assessment and intervene promptly for changes in condition
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, drips, and advanced life support needs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Respond to emergencies and lead resuscitation efforts using ACLS and other protocols
• Document clearly and timely in the electronic health record and complete required competency checklists
• Assist with safe patient transfers and float to acute care floors as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; TNCC and NIHSS as listed are required for the role
• ICU nursing experience and comfort with critical care equipment and medications
• Willingness to float to acute floors when needed and to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
• Completion of facility onboarding requirements including competency testing, drug screen, immunizations, and fit testing

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BSN preferred but not strictly required

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and prioritization
• Mechanical ventilation monitoring and adjustment (in collaboration with respiratory therapy)
• Hemodynamic monitoring and IV vasoactive medication management
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and emergency response skills
• Clear, timely documentation in electronic health records
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
