Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert cath lab nursing care for interventional cardiology and peripheral procedures, including patient prep, intra-procedural support, and post-procedure care
• Monitor patients continuously using advanced systems and devices during procedures and stress testing
• Operate and support imaging and interventional equipment such as C-arms, IVUS, OCT, and atherectomy devices
• Assist physicians during a variety of procedures including left/right heart cath, PTCA, stenting, thrombectomy, atherectomy, pacemaker insertion, and carotid/peripheral interventions
• Perform and monitor LEXISCAN stress testing and ensure accurate documentation of results
• Provide compassionate pre- and post-procedure patient care and safe transport between areas
• Rotate through assigned areas and assist with miscellaneous duties as needed to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation, responding to urgent cases nights, weekends, and holidays when scheduled

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience (REQUIRED)
• Current Oklahoma RN license (Oklahoma state license or compact eligible)
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required/preferred as listed — have current certification
• NIH stroke scale certification
• Recent travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
• Provide work history, skills checklist current to 1 year, and 2 supervisory references taken within the last two years

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient monitoring in the cath lab setting
• Experience with Philips Laser System, IVUS, OCT, and various coronary/peripheral atherectomy devices
• Familiarity with Siemens Artis Zee C-arms
• Experience using McKesson CPACS, McKesson Cardiology, and McKesson Hemodynamic System
• Comfortable assisting with a wide range of interventional procedures and stress testing (LEXISCAN)
• Strong patient transport, pre/post-op care, and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle on-call scenarios calmly and efficiently
