Location: Brooklyn Pk, Maryland

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (30-minute meal break) — days not specified by posting

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming
Assist with safe transfers, mobility and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Take and report basic clinical observations such as vital signs and changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Document care accurately in resident records and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team
Support mealtime assistance and feeding when needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required as indicated by the posting
Current state nursing assistant registration or certification per facility policy
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Ability to pass standard background checks and health screenings required by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience or familiarity with geriatric care and assisting with ADLs
Basic clinical knowledge such as taking vital signs and reporting changes
Good documentation practices and attention to detail
Infection control procedures and safe patient handling
Teamwork, patience and strong interpersonal skills
