Location: Watsonville, CA

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 - $47.6 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
Provide targeted therapy focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and functional tasks
Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and meaningful functional activities
Monitor resident progress, document changes, and communicate findings to the supervising OT
Maintain accurate, timely therapy documentation to support quality care
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary care teams to support resident recovery
Educate residents and families on safe techniques and adaptive strategies for daily living

Qualifications

Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (required)
Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program (required)
Previous SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy experience preferred
Strong patient care, observation, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Education

Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care and safety best practices
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training and functional rehabilitation techniques
Therapy documentation and clinical reporting
Strong observation and patient monitoring abilities
Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and care teams
