Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Deliver high-quality nursing care including medication administration and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document patient assessments and interventions using Meditech
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clear communication
• Respond to emergency codes and assist in life-saving interventions when needed
• Maintain unit standards for safety, infection control and professional practice

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications required
• NIH certification/competency required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with 2+ years of Emergency Department specialty experience
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts, rotate weekends and participate in on-call coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing and trauma care skills
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• Solid patient assessment, prioritization and critical thinking
• Familiarity with ACLS/PALS protocols and NIH stroke scale
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Ability to handle high-acuity patients and rapid decision-making
