Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator titration using Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral systems to optimize patient respiratory status
• Perform and interpret ABG analysis and adjust therapy accordingly to ensure safe, effective care
• Deliver CPAP/BiPAP management and nebulizer therapy for acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Provide hands-on patient assessment, respiratory treatments and airway management for patients with respiratory insufficiency, asthma, pneumonia and COPD
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized respiratory plans of care
• Document treatments, interventions and patient responses accurately in Meditech EMR
• Perform CPT and other therapeutic procedures as clinically indicated to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (must-have)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• Meditech EMR experience preferred by the director
• Trauma experience preferred
• Demonstrated teamwork, critical thinking and patient-centered focus

Education

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
• ABG sampling and interpretation
• CPAP/BiPAP setup and titration
• Familiarity with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Nebulizer therapy and CPT techniques
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Effective documentation in Meditech EMR and clear interdisciplinary communication
