Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care across age ranges, delivering therapies and interventions that improve breathing and outcomes
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway support, adjusting settings and monitoring effectiveness
• Draw and analyze ABGs to guide clinical decision-making
• Assist with intubations and other critical airway procedures as a trusted team member
• Perform and document nebulizer treatments, CPT, IPPB and Metaneb therapies
• Use Meditech and bedside diagnostic tools like I-Stat to accurately record patient data
• Collaborate with ICU, ED and NICU teams to coordinate respiratory care and handoffs
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Minimum 2 years hospital experience (required)
• ICU, NICU and ED experience required
• Proven ability to draw ABGs
• Experience with ventilator management and assisting with intubation
• Comfortable working with all patient age ranges and providing strong patient communication

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Experience with Servo I ventilator (preferred)
• Familiarity with I-Stat point-of-care testing (preferred)
• Nebulizer treatments, Metaneb, IPPB and CPT procedures
• Ability to assist with intubation and advanced airway care
• Meditech documentation experience
• Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills
• Good customer service and teamwork in high-acuity settings
