Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care for BMT and oncology ICU patients, ensuring safety and dignity
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP with confidence and adjust settings as patient needs change
• Titrate drips and vasoactive medications while closely monitoring patient response
• Deliver total care including tracheostomy management, dressing changes, and turning
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment: IV pumps, A-lines, Flow-tracks and CRRT when needed
• Document accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratios and prioritize interventions that improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (BMT/oncology ICU experience a strong plus)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, titrating drips, and trach care
• Comfortable with ICU equipment including IV pumps, A-line monitoring and CRRT
• Ability to work rotating nights and weekends with a collaborative, compassionate approach

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator and BiPAP management
• Drip titration and vasoactive medication expertise
• Tracheostomy care and total critical care procedures
• CRRT familiarity and transplant/BMT patient care experience
• A-line monitoring and IV pump operation
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR and clear clinical documentation
• Strong teamwork, communication, and rapport with physicians
