Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and review medication orders to ensure safe, accurate patient therapy
• Perform sterile IV compounding and quality checks using Dose Edge
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians during dispensing, Pyxis management, and emergency med box checks
• Manage antimicrobial and anticoagulant dosing (vancomycin, aminoglycosides, anticoagulants) and provide clinical consults
• Conduct medication verification and first-dose checks to support inpatient safety
• Document clinical interventions and use Meditech EMR to coordinate care with the clinical team
• Participate in pain consults and collaborate with providers to optimize therapy

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience (as indicated in the posting)
• Experience with sterile compounding (IV) and Dose Edge verification
• Familiarity with automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis and Pak Edge
• Comfort supervising pharmacy technicians and managing decentralized workflows
• ACLS and BLS preferred; NICU experience a plus

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

• Meditech EMR navigation and documentation
