Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients with compassion and clinical confidence
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility policy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and self-care prior to discharge

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in Tennessee or via compact licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple patients safely and prioritize care
• Strong clinical assessment, IV therapy, and medication administration skills
• Professional, collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg standards of care and nursing best practices
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation
• Skill in patient assessment, wound care, and IV/infusion management
• Effective time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers with clarity and empathy
