Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments that guide patient care and outcomes
• Perform hearing and balance evaluations for patients of all ages using established clinical standards
• Evaluate, fit, and repair hearing aids to optimize patient communication and satisfaction
• Administer VNG testing and interpret results to support vestibular diagnoses
• Assess cochlear implant candidacy, perform activations, and manage re-mapping for implant users
• Perform canalith repositioning maneuvers to provide immediate relief for appropriate vestibular patients
• Dispense FM and other assistive listening systems to enhance patients' daily functioning
• Provide follow-up care and counseling to ensure long-term success and patient confidence

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Audiology (education verification required)
• Active licensure as an audiologist in the state of Wisconsin (required)
• Clinical experience with diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings/repair, and VNG testing
• Experience with cochlear implant evaluations, activations, and re-mapping
• Skill in canalith repositioning maneuvers and dispensing assistive listening systems
• Strong patient communication and documentation skills, comfortable working with all ages

Education

• Doctoral Degree in Audiology (Au.D. or equivalent) — education verification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic audiometry and hearing assessment best practices
• Hearing aid programming, fitting, verification, and troubleshooting
• Vestibular testing (VNG) and interpretation
• Cochlear implant candidacy assessment, activation, and mapping
• Canalith repositioning techniques for BPPV
• Familiarity with FM/assistive listening systems and patient education
• Ability to produce clear clinical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
