Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry monitoring with confidence
• Administer medications safely, following basic pharmacology protocols and hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
• Perform required competency testing and maintain clinical skills through ongoing assessments
• Float to ED, Telemetry, or Medical-Surgical units as needed while staying within your scope of practice

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum recent clinical experience: ICU nursing with recent 2 years of experience and training
• Current BLS required upon hire and to be maintained
• Current ACLS required within 30 days of hire and to be maintained
• NIHSS certificate required
• PALS required within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients
• DCI/BVP certification listed in required certifications
• Ability and willingness to float to ED/Telemetry/Medical-Surgical as needed

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing best practices and patient monitoring
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry management
• Basic pharmacology knowledge for critical care medication administration
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with core competency exams and specialty skill checklists
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams
