Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures with attention to accuracy and patient safety
• Corroborate patient clinical history and document information for the interpreting practitioner
• Prepare and instruct patients to obtain high-quality images while minimizing anxiety
• Select and operate radiographic equipment and devices to achieve diagnostic results
• Position and immobilize patients as needed, respecting comfort and ability
• Determine exposure technique factors to minimize radiation to patients and staff
• Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure correct patient identification
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and contrast administration as permitted
• Practice aseptic technique where required and support patients’ physical and emotional needs
• Participate in required DNV program education and other facility trainings

Qualifications

• OBMI and ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Experience in urgent care or diagnostic radiography preferred
• Comfort administering contrast media and medications where state statute and policy permit
• Ability to practice aseptic technique and assist with interventional procedures
• Strong patient communication skills and professional judgment in clinical settings

Education

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and effective patient positioning
• Radiographic technique and image evaluation for diagnostic quality
• Radiation safety principles and exposure factor selection
• Operation and troubleshooting of radiography equipment
• Contrast media administration and interventional procedure support
• Aseptic technique and patient immobilization techniques
• Familiarity with urgent care workflows and DNV program education requirements
