Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition, interpreting data to inform timely care decisions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following facility protocols
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly in the electronic health record
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity to support recovery
• Advocate for patient safety and lead by example in infection control and best practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or valid compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Acute care experience preferred; travel nurse experience is a plus
• Current immunizations and TB screening per facility requirements
• Ability to work scheduled days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation best practices
• Cardiac monitoring and basic dysrhythmia recognition
• Time management and prioritization during busy 12-hour shifts
• Teamwork, clear handoffs and effective interdisciplinary communication
