Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Day shift, on-call rotation)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during procedures with focus and precision
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field, instruments, and supplies for each case
- Perform instrument and sponge counts to ensure patient safety
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies promptly
- Participate in on-call coverage as required to support emergent cases
- Collaborate with nursing and surgical staff to maintain efficient OR flow
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Document perioperative activities accurately and hand off information clearly
Qualifications
- Surgical technologist experience in the Operating Room; prior scrub tech experience preferred
- Ability to take call and respond as needed
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent OR experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
- Strong team communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Comfort working in a 4-room OR and supporting a variety of surgical cases
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in sterile technique and OR aseptic practices
- Instrument identification, handling, and setup
- Accurate counting and tracking of sponges, needles, and instruments
- Familiarity with perioperative workflows and surgical case preparation
- Effective communication with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia team
- Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation
