Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; specific days to be confirmed with scheduling
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe mobility, transfers and positioning while maintaining dignity
- Assist with meal service and ensure residents receive appropriate nourishment
- Document care accurately and timely to keep the care team informed
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication
- Contribute to a clean, safe and comfortable living environment for all residents
Qualifications
- GNA certification required (Geriatric Nursing Assistant)
- Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtained upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfort working with older adults and a genuine interest in geriatric care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; punctual and dependable
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living helpful but not mandatory
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved GNA program and current GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
- Able to perform safe resident transfers and use mobility aids correctly
- Familiarity with documentation practices in a clinical setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills to support resident-centered care
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes clearly to licensed staff
- Basic vital signs and observational skills to spot changes in condition
