Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to stabilize and treat acute conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in the medical record
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and the ED team to coordinate timely patient flow
• Perform ongoing patient monitoring and reassessment to identify changes and escalate concerns
• Prepare patients for procedures and transfers, ensuring seamless handoffs and clear communication
• Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement through accurate reporting and participation in unit initiatives
• Support and mentor colleagues during busy shifts to maintain high-quality care

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) required
• Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• Comfortable and able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• ENPC preferred (listed as an additional preferred certification)
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to triage effectively and work well under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate in a fast-paced ED

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of emergency triage and acute patient assessment
• Ability to prioritize care and make quick clinical decisions
• Proficient documentation and care coordination in a fast-paced environment
• Skilled at working with multidisciplinary teams to expedite patient care
• Calm, efficient approach to high-acuity and high-volume situations
