Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about care, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation and handoffs
• Prioritize safety and infection control practices to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current and active RN or LPN license (RN preferred) in Maine or ability to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
• Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet workplace health requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN program). RN candidates may hold a diploma, ADN, or BSN.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessments, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Skilled in prioritization, time management, and coordinating patient care
• Able to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and staff
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
