Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to adults in the facility
• Administer medications, treatments, and document care accurately and promptly
• Perform thorough assessments and report changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharge processes with professionalism
• Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and self-care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Coach and mentor peers when appropriate to support clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (appropriate to the role) — Maryland licensure preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willing to obtain
• Proven clinical competency in medication administration and resident assessment
• Comfortable working the specified weekday and weekend schedule
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse: Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent
• Registered Nurse: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN/BSN) as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and documentation best practices
• Medication administration and IV/basic nursing procedures (as applicable)
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and resident-centered care
• Infection prevention, wound care basics, and safety protocols
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting and care coordination
• Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
