Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and communicate changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow personalized care plans
- Educate residents and families on care, medications, and post-acute planning in a clear, respectful way
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly to ensure continuity of care
- Promote a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment that supports recovery and dignity
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN licensure in good standing (Massachusetts licensure expected)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required by facility
- Current clinical skills in medication administration, wound care, and resident assessment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to pass facility-required pre-employment screenings and background checks
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of post-acute and long-term care nursing practices
- Proficiency with medication administration and documentation
- Skilled in resident assessment, vital signs, and recognizing change in condition
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment and prioritizing tasks
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong patient/family education skills
