Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Support nursing staff by monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes promptly and accurately
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote patient comfort and prevent falls
• Document care and observations clearly and timely to maintain high-quality patient records
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Engage with patients and families to provide emotional support and promote dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — state certification required or eligible for Maine certification
• Demonstrated experience in long-term care or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Clear background check, up-to-date immunizations, and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to work the evening shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) for the assignment duration

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing personal care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Basic charting and documentation skills; accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
