Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents throughout each shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Monitor residents’ conditions, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as vital signs, wound care, and hygiene assistance
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in residents’ records
- Follow facility protocols for infection control and resident safety at all times
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Comfortable working the listed schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Local candidates only (note: position is LOCAL ONLY)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN/LVN) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and clinical assessment
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Basic wound care and vital sign monitoring
- Effective charting and clinical record keeping
- Infection control and resident safety procedures
- Teamwork, time management, and clear communication with families and staff
