Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day) — 35 hours/week

Candidate Pay Rate: $45 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed PT to help patients regain independence
- Assist with patient assessments, treatment planning, and progress measurement
- Implement therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safe mobility strategies
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate changes to the supervising PT
Qualifications
- Current or eligible California Physical Therapist Assistant license (preferred active license)
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willing to obtain
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset
- Comfortable working in a skilled care/rehab setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Professional, dependable, and able to manage time and documentation effectively
Education
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- State PTA licensure required or eligible
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic modalities, gait training, transfers, and balance interventions
- Proficient with patient assessment, treatment planning, and outcome tracking
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and HIPAA standards
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and patient education skills
