Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers to promote independence and prevent falls
- Monitor residents’ condition and communicate changes clearly to nursing staff
- Support meals and feeding assistance while encouraging dignity and choice
- Maintain clean, safe environments by following infection control and facility protocols
- Document care activities accurately and timely in resident records
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or state-equivalent certification
- Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric settings is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of elder care best practices and dementia-friendly approaches
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
- Good documentation and time-management abilities
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans accurately
