Shift Type: Varied assigned evening/night shifts: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM; 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM; 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM. Every other weekend required. Holidays required. (Evening/Night shifts; assigned schedule with ability to pick up additional shifts)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate testing across core lab areas including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis and blood bank
• Operate and troubleshoot lab analyzers such as EXL Dimension, Sysmex XN, Sysmex CS 2500, ECHO and Clinitek
• Work as a generalist to process, document and validate laboratory results using the Epic LIS
• Ensure quality control, proper specimen handling and compliance with lab policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the lab manager and clinical team to support patient care in an acute setting
• Participate in department orientation and ongoing competency validation to maintain high standards

Qualifications

• MLT or MLS certification accepted (ASCP or AMT) — MLT certification required as noted
• Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory experience; recent blood bank experience required
• Experience working as a generalist across core lab areas (no microbiology required)
• Familiarity with Epic LIS or other lab information systems
• Able to be in-state for orientation week and submit a valid driver's license as requested
• Willing to work evenings, nights, every other weekend and required holidays

Education

• Medical Laboratory Technician certification (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via ASCP or AMT

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of blood bank procedures and testing
• Hands-on experience with EXL Dimension chemistry analyzers
• Experience with Sysmex XN hematology instruments and Sysmex CS 2500 coagulation systems
• Familiarity with ECHO for blood bank workflows and Clinitek for urinalysis
• Comfortable charting and result entry in Epic LIS
• Generalist lab workflows, QC practices, and acute care lab priorities
