Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (day); 40 hours/week with weekend rotation

Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' respiratory status and deliver individualized respiratory care
- Administer respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy according to physician orders
- Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment safely and effectively
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation to guide care
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques
- Document assessments, treatments and patient responses accurately and promptly
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide airway management when needed
Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- CRT or RRT credential preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitative settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team
Education
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in ventilator management and weaning strategies
- Skilled in oxygen therapy modalities and aerosol treatments
- Comfortable with ABG interpretation and respiratory assessment
- Familiar with respiratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization and patient education skills
