Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality external beam radiation treatments including IMRT, SBRT and SRS with precision and compassion
- Perform CT simulation and patient setup using immobilization devices and HexaPOD for accurate tumor localization
- Operate and maintain Elekta Infinity and Elekta Versa HD treatment units and associated imaging (CBCT/kV/mV)
- Chart treatments and patient progress accurately in MOSAIQ and Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, therapists and support teams to optimize patient care
- Implement respiratory gating and DIBH techniques when indicated to improve treatment accuracy
- Perform chart checks, beam shaping and quality checks to maintain radiation safety standards
- Provide patient and family education, manage emergencies and participate in rapid response when needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience (explicit requirement)
- ARRT (T) certification preferred
- BLS certification preferred
- Experience with Elekta systems (Infinity, Versa HD) and MOSAIQ preferred
- Familiarity with Epic charting preferred
- Comfort working in a teaching hospital environment and treating a full range of cancer diagnoses
- Willingness to commit to a 14-week travel assignment (manager is firm on assignment length)
Knowledge & Skills
- CT Simulation and pretreatment workflows
- IMRT, SRS, SBRT treatment techniques and planning workflows
- CBCT / kV / mV imaging and image-guided radiotherapy
- Respiratory gating and motion management techniques
- Experience with Elekta Infinity and Elekta Versa HD
- MOSAIQ charting and Epic documentation
- Patient positioning, immobilization devices and HexaPOD use
- Radiation safety, emergency response and chart checks
