Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and personal hygiene while promoting dignity
- Document resident status and care provided in a timely, professional manner
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Active/state-appropriate certification or ability to provide proof of certification
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with physical aspects of patient care and safe lifting techniques
- Local candidate preferred (local-only opportunity as noted in job posting)
- Friendly, patient-centered attitude and strong teamwork skills
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding) and resident mobility
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
