Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Monitor and record vital signs and any changes in condition, ensuring accurate documentation
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance while following proper body mechanics
• Assist the interdisciplinary care team by communicating observations and participating in care planning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work overnight hours (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on scheduled days
• Comfortable with lifting, transfers, and physical demands of bedside care
• Local candidates only (position notes indicate LOCAL ONLY)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• CNA certification from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and assistance with ADLs (activities of daily living)
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection prevention and proper PPE use
• Safe patient transfers and mobility support
• Basic documentation and charting practices
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Team collaboration and willingness to follow care plans
