Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and resident observations
• Communicate proactively with nurses, families, and the care team to promote continuity
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Ability to legally work in the United States and reliably commute to Camden, ME
• Comfort working overnight hours and supporting residents during the night
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a resident-first attitude
• Preferred: experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Safe transfer and mobility support
• Basic infection control and resident safety practices
• Clear charting and effective communication with the care team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs overnight
