Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly recognize and escalate rhythm changes
• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care for assigned patients
• Float between telemetry and med-surg units as needed to support patient needs
• Administer medications and perform treatments accurately while following policy
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the chart clearly and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient-focused plans
• Respond to patient changes and emergencies with calm, competent clinical actions
• Complete required competency exams and skills checklists to maintain clinical readiness

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Nursys verification (state license verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and maintained
• CPI and DCI/BVP certifications as required by facility
• Experience in telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical patient care
• Comfort and ability to float between units (med-surg and telemetry)
• Willingness to complete onboarding requirements: drug screen, fit test, TB, immunizations, and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Proficiency with med-surg nursing assessment and interventions
• Clear clinical documentation and charting skills
• Effective communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients during a 12-hour night shift
• Basic proficiency with facility EHR and electronic monitoring systems
