Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with compassion and dignity
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lift techniques
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Provide thoughtful, respectful personal care that promotes comfort and independence
• Help maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control practices
• Document care provided accurately and communicate clearly with the care team

Qualifications

• GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and required immunizations
• Compassionate, reliable, and able to work overnight shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow care plans and report clinical observations clearly
