Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during evening and overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Assess changes in condition and collaborate with the care team to develop timely interventions
• Support residents with activities of daily living and maintain dignity and respect
• Respond to emergencies and prioritize resident safety throughout your shift
• Communicate handoffs and critical information clearly to incoming staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license (RN or LPN) — eligible to practice in Maine
• Recent clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related setting preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
• Ability to work evening and overnight 12+ hour shifts reliably and professionally
• Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN for RN; PN or diploma for LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and documentation
• Strong resident assessment and clinical judgment
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and regulations
• Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize during overnight shifts
