Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric and determine focused treatment plans
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment programs in consultation with physicians
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy and supervised therapeutic exercise to improve functional ability
• Provide and oversee modalities such as hydrotherapy, ultrasound, and traction as appropriate
• Train patients and families on assistive devices and home exercise programs to ensure continuity of care
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately and timely
• Coordinate discharge planning with interdisciplinary team members to support safe transitions
• Supervise and direct aides, technicians, and assistants to optimize patient care delivery
• Maintain safe equipment operation and follow infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
• Contribute to team growth by developing and delivering in-service training and professional development

Qualifications

• Required: Physical Therapy License issued by the State of Colorado
• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience working with a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics preferred
• Comfortable administering manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and common PT modalities
• Strong documentation skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to provide patient and family education and to supervise therapy support staff

Education

• Physical Therapy License issued by the State of Colorado
• BLS certification

Knowledge & Skills
