Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, escalating changes in condition appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Hawaii (required)
• Proven experience in Medical-Surgical and telemetry care (prior telemetry experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Comfortable with 12-hour rotating shifts and able to adapt to day/night schedules
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Skilled in medical-surgical nursing assessments and interventions
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients effectively
• Compassionate patient education and family communication skills
