Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to geriatric residents
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Document care accurately and maintain up-to-date charts and logs
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control practices
• Engage residents in respectful conversation and meaningful activities
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active GNA / Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working night shift hours and able to respond to resident needs
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with resident care
• Background check and any facility-specific clearances as required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and ADL assistance
• Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
• Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling
• Ability to work well within a team and follow clinical directions
• Good observational skills to recognize changes in resident condition
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
