Shift Type: Varied shifts with rotating day and night coverage; every other weekend required. Exact start and end times vary by rotation and will be provided with the schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ED
• Stabilize and manage emergent cardiac, trauma, pediatric, and mental health cases
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol with attention to safety
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and transitions of care clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up care with compassion
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and maintain required competencies

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• ACLS, TNCC and PALS required
• CEN preferred
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing and comfort with high-acuity care

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing and triage principles
• Trauma care and rapid assessment
• Cardiac emergency management including ACLS protocols
• Pediatric emergency care and PALS application
• Management of emergent and urgent mental health presentations
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and clear communication skills
