Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient responses, communicating changes to the care team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, prioritizing patient dignity and comfort
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
• Document accurately in patient records and collaborate with nurses and clinical staff
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through kind, consistent care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• State authorization/credentials to practice as a CNA in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working night shifts and a schedule of Tue/Wed/Thu evenings into mornings
• Local candidates only (position is local, no travel or relocation provided)
• Willingness to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills including ADLs, bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observe patient condition
• Good communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with nursing staff
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and documentation skills; attention to detail and follow-through
